The Faithless faithful will want to make a beeline for Brixton’s Dogstar this Saturday where Maxi Jazz is headlining a fancy dress fundraiser for Amnesty International.
Billed as an ‘an evening of Frocks, Frolics, Fish and Hips’ the ‘Naughtical But Nice’ themed party takes place upstairs in the pub’s ballroom while the regular Saturday night AudioSushi shakedown will thunder on downstairs.
We especially like the addition of a glammed up Vladimir Putin on the poster below although there is no guarantee the Russian President will actually be getting his rocks off in Brixton on Saturday night.
Organised by South London United Shambalans and Dress Up Divas, the party intends to highlight the plight of people who get locked up for similar behaviour in other parts of the world.
AudioSushi in the main room has its usual door fee (£5 after 10pm) , so revellers heading to the ‘Naughtical But Nice’ party will just need to present their tickets at the door and you will be shown upstairs to the party!
Tickets are a tenner and available in advance at http://dressupdivas.wix.com/naughtical . All proceeds from the party will be donated to Amnesty International: http://www.amnesty.org.uk/
The Dogstar is at 389 Coldharbour Lane, SW9 8LQ: http://dogstarbrixton.com/. You will need valid photo ID (passport/driving licence) to get in to the venue.
