Here’s a short set of fairly shonky photos from our Friday night takeover of the Brixton Dogstar, where Brixton Buzz DJs were on the decks of the main room from 10pm-4am.

It was a strange kind of night: while we were pumping out the dance tunes, we had a stream of posh chaps requesting the funny-but-awful James Blunt. Naturally – for the sake of the well being of everyone on the dancefloor – we declined.

Brixton Buzz will be putting on a special birthday show at Brixton’s Market House on Sat 30th Sept, and returning to the Dogstar on Fri 5th Oct, and the Tulse Hill Railway on Sat 6th Oct.

Loo out for our upcoming new regular night at the Effra Social with hip-hop stars The Scribes performing live on Fri 12th Oct.
